My background is in university advancement and nonprofit fundraising.
At Columbia University, I wrote and audited data integrity reports, managed and improved data quality and governance dasboards, and provided technical and data support for Athena Desk, the Alumni & Development Office's advancement system containing more than five million active constituent records.
That data management and governance work helped the university reach more people and raise more funds during The Columbia Commitment: from more than $2 billion and about 100,000 donors at the May 2017 launch to $5.6 billion, 199,000 donors, and 160,000 engaged alumni at close, including 103,000 first-time donors.
Before Columbia, I supported constituent record data quality and processed gifts at the Parkinson's Foundation.
I currently work as a freelance developer, building and maintaining websites for nonprofit clients on a pro-bono basis.
I am looking for a full-time engineering role, either remote or based in the New York metropolitan area.

About
I am drawn to things that invoke experimentation.
Video games, photography, photo & video editing software, digital audio workstations (DAWs) for music composition, and interactive digital art have all shaped the way I approach life with technology.
I love using these tools for creativity and have been very curious about their low-level design and implementation.
I initially studied Media Arts and Film before earning a Computer Science degree at Montclair State University as a first-generation college student.
Academic and professional experiences have taught me how to tackle difficult problems while communicating my thought process with my peers in order to implement a correct, scalable solution.
